Starting point

Three locations in Bogotá and its whole web presence on a single negocio.site page

Pastelería Dulcita sells custom cakes, desserts, bread and coffee at three locations in Bogotá: Calle 72, Fontibón and Kennedy. In the brief form dated June 30, 2026, the only website on record was a page on negocio.site, which now returns a 404. Custom cakes are the main service, and the bakery believes people find it with searches like “pastelerías en Bogotá”, “tortas con diseño” and “postres y tortas Bogotá”. The new site had to show each location’s catalog and take cake orders without relying only on the phone.

Decision 1 · Catalog

One page per product, per occasion and per location: 21 pages for what people search for from a bakery in Bogotá

Pastelería Dulcita's site has 21 catalog pages, each with its own URL: 11 product lines, 7 occasions and 3 locations. Julián Franco organized the catalog this way because someone looking for a baptism cake or the nearest location arrives with a specific question, and each page answers one.

Page type Pages What it covers
Product lines11Cakes, display-case cakes, desserts, bread, cookies, coffee shop, restaurant, kids, treats, signature line and more
Occasions7Baby shower, baptism, birthday, graduation, wedding, first communion and corporate events
Locations3Calle 72, Fontibón and Kennedy, each with its own menu, hours and directions link

Each location sells different things, and the menu shows it. The rules were confirmed with the bakery on August 11, 2026: tiramisu only appears at Kennedy, and the Milkyway and Red Velvet display-case cakes only at Calle 72. Each location's opening hours live in a single data file that feeds the location page, so they're changed in one place.

Product and location videos load without JavaScript: the poster shows first and the video downloads 0 bytes until someone opens it.

Decision 2 · Quotes

Cake quotes by email with FormSubmit, a backup copy on the server and WhatsApp as an alternative

Pastelería Dulcita's quote form sends every request to the bakery's inbox with FormSubmit and saves a backup copy on the server; WhatsApp sits on the same page as an alternative. Without JavaScript the form still works: the server saves the copy, attempts the send and takes the customer to the thank-you page.

The first version, from September 4, 2026, sent the email from the hosting with PHP. On September 21 it switched to FormSubmit, because the domain's SPF record only authorizes Google to send email and messages sent from the hosting weren't arriving.

Hosting stays on the bakery's cPanel. Since September 4, 2026 every change in the repository is built with GitHub Actions and published there over FTPS, with no manual uploads.

The result

37 URLs on its own domain and cake quotes by email, in production since September 4, 2026

Pastelería Dulcita’s site went live on September 4, 2026 at pasteleriadulcita.com, with automatic deployment to the bakery’s hosting. It publishes 37 URLs: 11 product lines, 7 occasions, 3 locations, 6 blog posts and the cake quote form. Visits and quotes weren’t measured during the project, so this case documents the scope, not a traffic result.
